BOD MEETING NOTES

BOD Meeting Notes will be posted here after each meeting.  These notes are the unofficial documentation of BOD proceedings and will remain posted here until the official/approved minutes are posted in the DOCUMENTS section of this site.

A BOD Meeting was held on 13 JAN 2021.

New Business:

Parking Concerns

The President of the board explained the currently issue/concerns resident are having with extended parking and parking within the curves. The two possible options previously discussed by the board (Painting “No Parking” on curves of concerns, or purchasing signs depicting “No Parking”) were conveyed to the community and the Pros and Cons of each solution. Afterward, the President of the BODs (Rob Richert) opened the floor to the community to hear possible solutions/resolution to the issues at hand. While there were disagreements and reasoning for not allowing Parking on the curves, the following positive options were brought up during the discussions:

Painting marking on Blind-side curves, allowing for parking on opposite side curves

Designating time restrictions for parking in restricted areas, painting marking on designated curves and areas (i.e. near mailboxes, fire extinguishers)

Conveying to residents to park all cars in driveway as Primary means and over-flow cars or visitors’ cars in street

                 Allow “No” parking in streets

Moving Mailboxes to one-side of roads, allowing parking on opposite side of road

After a lengthy deliberation, the Board unanimously moved to discuss options brought forward, develop a  draft resolution plan and reschedule a meeting to convey proposed plan.

Removal of Treasurer:

The President of the board conveyed to the board his concerns with the derelict of duty of the current Treasurer. It has been brought to the attention of the BODs that the community financials are not being handled in a timely matter and late fees are being accumulated on unpaid bills. Currently the last actions taken by the treasurer was in 12/2020 and 1/6/21, and the treasurer has missed the last two meeting without excuse. The Vice-President explained to the board and members of the community that the financial process is a two-person obligation in which two- persons are required to sign for financials. Because of upcoming bills soon to be due, and no responds from current Treasurer, The President moved  to remove Gina Seecharan as Treasurer, and designate Al Bilotti as Treasurer for Parkside West. Sam Mazza seconded the motion, and motion carried with a majority vote of 6:1.

All financial documentations were reviewed and signed by respective parties.

Unfinished Business:

Purchasing 8x10 Tuff Shed

Due to breakdown in purchasing negotiations with vendor, the discussion to purchase a Tuff Shed for the community has been tabled, allowing members of the board the opportunity to research reputable vendors in the areas that can deliver a product as promise in the best interest of the community without impacting CY20 ‘ budget and having an impact on the pockets of the residents.  Robert Richert motioned to table the purchasing of  the 10x10 shed, and Angela Carter seconded the motion.
